Comments: This is the second incarnation of the DT-400. The image used on this page is actually of a 2002 DT-420, which is a reissue of the 1995/6 DT-400.
I am only aware of three differences between this second issue DT-400 and its reissue DT-420. First, the neck on the DT-400 is painted to match the body color whereas the neck on the reissue DT-420 is unfinished. Second, the serial number formats are different between the two models. Lastly, this model came with a Black (BK) finish whereas the DT-420 reissue came with a Black Pearl (BP) finish.
I'm not certain which line the second DT-400 (and DT-420) belong to. The headstock clearly states "Ibanez Destroyer" but I believe it is part of the "DT" line.
